SmartCity - Urban monitoring

The objective of this model is to be incorporated in urban areas through sensor networks that provide information on relevant environmental levels for municipalities, communities and organizations that need to make intelligent decisions about their activities and promote urban well-being. The service includes analysis and recommendations by a team of subject matter experts.

The sensor nodes include an optical particle counter for the detection of particulate matter (2.5 and 10 microns in diameter), obtaining a large amount of data on concentrations of particles in the air, and a meteorological sensor (temperature, pressure and humidity).

Applications:

  • Urban air quality monitoring.
  • Characterization of air pollution sources.
  • Community education and information.

Monitoring in mining sites and industrial environments

Innovative information service for intelligent environmental monitoring of air pollutants, and noise.

The objective of this service is to measure and characterize pollution in specific areas, providing baseline information, emission sources, and spatial dispersion of pollutants with real-time data. This information is relevant for strategic production and expansion decisions and to improve the efficiency of production processes.

The monitoring includes coarse, fine and ultrafine particulate matter, gases, and ambient noise.

Our sensors have been validated by Centro Nacional de Pilotaje.

Environmental monitoring for indoor environments

The objective of this service is to measure pollution inside homes and buildings. It allows evaluating the infiltration rate and the indoor pollution levels. The service includes access to real-time measurements of particulate matter concentration (PM2.5), carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature, and humidity.

Applications:

  • Indoor air quality monitoring
  • Characterization of microenvironments
  • Human Exposure Assessment for Air Pollution
  • Community education and information
  • Generation of concentration level alerts - relevant for people with reduced lung capacity.
